What is TCEC Chess?

TCEC (Top Chess Engine Championship) is an ongoing online tournament that pits the world's strongest chess engines against each other in a continuous season format. Engines including Stockfish, Leela Chess Zero, Komodo Dragon, and others compete across multiple divisions, with the best engines playing off in a superfinal.

The live interface shows games in progress with real-time engine analysis, evaluation graphs, and commentary. An archive of all past seasons is available for review, making TCEC a valuable resource for studying engine vs. engine games and observing the cutting edge of chess theory as explored by superhuman players.

TCEC is free to watch and requires no registration. It is fascinating for players interested in computer chess, advanced opening theory, or simply watching the highest-quality chess played at any time control. The associated ChessDOM website tracks ratings and results across seasons.
