What is Chessable?

Chessable is an interactive chess learning platform built around the science of spaced repetition. Rather than passive reading, Chessable courses require you to actively input moves on a board — the system then schedules reviews at optimal intervals to embed lines into long-term memory.

The course library spans hundreds of titles, many authored by grandmasters and titled players. Topics range from specific opening repertoires to tactical patterns, endgame technique, and middlegame strategy. Several highly regarded courses are available for free; the majority are premium purchases or included in a membership.

Chessable's MoveTrainer technology is the core differentiator: it tracks your accuracy, identifies lines you're forgetting, and prioritizes them in your review queue. Mobile apps for iOS and Android let you continue training between sessions. The platform is owned by Chess.com but operates as a distinct product with its own course marketplace.
