The FICS Games Archive is the official game repository for the Free Internet Chess Server (FICS), one of the oldest continuously running online chess servers. The archive contains tens of millions of rated games played on FICS going back to the 1990s, organized by month and available for free download in PGN format.

The collection provides a snapshot of amateur and club-level chess over several decades, making it useful for research, training data, and statistical studies. Unlike master game databases, FICS games represent a wide range of skill levels, giving a realistic picture of how chess is actually played at various rating bands.

All games are freely downloadable without registration. The archive also supports searching for specific players' game histories and opening statistics from FICS games.
